The Federal Bureau of Investigation is now assisting Michigan State Police in finding out what happened to the baby found dead inside a porta-potty at the music festival Sunday, June 28.
State investigators confirm a preliminary autopsy found that the infant was born alive.
They also confirmed a Muskegon woman who attended the festival was interviewed but ruled out as a suspect.
Now the FBI is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of whomever is responsible for the baby’s death.
Investigators believe there are people with knowledge about the case who may be reluctant to come forward. They are encouraging anyone with information to report it as soon as possible.
MSP officials are confident their investigation, combined with forensic science, will ultimately lead to the identification of the person responsible.
