The company is currently testing its vehicles in Detroit.

Waymo says some of its autonomous vehicles failed to understand road construction signs on freeways.

Waymo says it’s happened more than a dozen times since April.

The company is updating the vehicles’ software.

Last month Waymo recalled about 38-hundred vehicles that would drive at high speeds into flooded roads.

The company says on its website that it continues operating autonomous cars and mapping streets across Detroit...but the service is not yet available to the public.
Waymo praises Michigan as a good place to check the vehicles’ performance – especially in heavy snow conditions.
