The City of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department is looking for residents to help shape its future

The 2027 through 2032 Parks and Recreation Strategic Master Plan is being developed and the City of Grand Rapids wants your help.
The Parks and Rec department is inviting residents to help shape the future of city parks, trails, recreation programs and public spaces through the master plan.

That plan will serve as a roadmap for future investments, improvements and programming throughout the parks system. Building on previous planning efforts, the update will evaluate community needs, park and facility conditions and more.

Laura Cleypool, parks and recreation director in a news release, says, “Grand Rapids residents have helped build one of the most dynamic park systems in our region, and their voices will guide its next chapter.”

Noting community input is a critical part of the planning process the department encourages everyone who lives, works and learns in Grand Rapids to participate.
