Perrigo CEO resigns over personal conduct issues; interim replacement named

Perrigo

The CEO of Grand Rapids-based healthcare company Perrigo has resigned due to personal conduct issues

According to a release, Patrick Lockwood-Taylor resigned as president and CEO of health and wellness company Perrigo effective immediately following allegations of misconduct. Officials say the conduct was not directly related to the company’s business, operations or financial reporting.

Perrigo stated, “This resignation follows a determination by the Board of Directors that certain personal conduct by Mr. Lockwood-Taylor was not consistent with the Company’s Code of Conduct and core values.” Lockwood-Taylor also stepped down from the board.

Albert A. Manzone, who has served on the board since 2022, will fill in as interim president and CEO while the board searches for a permanent replacement.

Lockwood-Taylor is the former president of international healthcare company Bayer’s U.S. operations. He became Perrigo’s CEO in June 2023.
