Bloom Into Giving: Ronald McDonald House West Michigan launches urgent donation drive

RMHCWM
Donations can be dropped directly at the House, located at 1323 Cedar St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.

Ronald McDonald House Charities West Michigan is asking the public to help restock its pantry and items used by families staying in the home while their children receive medical care

Resources are being strained by a surge of families visiting the newly opened Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health where Ronald McDonald House hosts a family respite room.

“This year alone. We've served 122 families here at the house and over 100 individuals at the new family room at Pine Rest, and we haven't even been open a full month yet there.”

Salina Bishop is Ronald McDonald House Charities West Michigan President and CEO.

“We do see that families are traveling from all over the state of Michigan to receive care in our community. West Michigan is known for its pediatric health, and with that comes a responsibility to take care of the families.”

Ronald McDonald House is holding a month-long donation drive in May called “Bloom into Giving” asking for the most urgently needed items such as toiletries, paper products, and grab-and-go snacks.

Donations can be dropped directly at the House, located at 1323 Cedar St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
