The move is part of a Trump administration effort targeting what it claims were cases filed for political reasons

The Detroit prosecutors helped convict several protesters accused of denying access to a clinic that provides legal abortion services.

A Justice Department report alleges the case was among those that showed an “anti-Christian bias” under former President Biden.

A third Detroit prosecutor involved in the conviction, who left the department last year, reportedly calls the accusation of bias “outrageous.”

Last year Trump pardoned eight people convicted of blocking entry to abortion clinics in Sterling Heights and Saginaw.

This week’s firings come as Trump faces criticism for posting a social media image widely thought to depict him as Jesus and for disparaging the Pope.
