Terri DeBoer enters Michigan's 3rd Congressional District race as a Republican.

Terri DeBoer has been forecasting weather in West Michigan for more than three decades. The TV meteorologist who recently retired from FOX 17 has entered the Republican field in Michigan’s 3rd Congressional House District currently represented by incumbent Democrat Hillary Scholten.

The Byron Center resident supports a fully secure border, healthcare transparency and parents’ medical care and education rights.

DeBoer will face Grand Rapids attorney J. Allen Fiorletta in the Republican primary election. Scholten will face challenger Zachary Ketchum from Muskegon in the Democratic primary election August 4th.
