The housing is intended for people earning at or around 30% of the area median income, with rent capped at $350 a month for individuals and $650 a month for families

A multi-family home at 32 Pleasant Street Southeast is complete, after ground was broken in September on three separate Grand Rapids sites.

The two other multi-family units are still under construction: one on Cass Avenue and one on Highland Avenue.

The project represents a major step forward in Well House’s mission to provide safe, permanent, and affordable housing for individuals and families facing housing insecurity in Grand Rapids. Well House was founded in 1977 providing housing for the homeless.

This is the first time Well House is building new homes; it typically purchases and restores older homes. It currently has 70 tenants in 17 homes.
