With the on-going demand for mental health services, Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services offers free webinar series open to the public

Clinicians at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services have been exploring new ways to interact with more people seeing care.

“The perception of long waits is not so true anymore, but I think there have been people who haven’t been calling because they’ve heard that shortage exists, and we wanted to number one, make people aware of things they can do and number two, that we’re here for them.”

Regional Director Jean Holthouse explains Pine Rest is leveraging its remote platforms and tools enhancing mental health and resilience.

The Pine Rest Telehealth Clinic is planning a live, interactive ten-part online series open to the public at no charge.

Mental health experts will share insight then lead discussions on topics such as stress management, burnout, mindfulness, substance abuse, online safety and more.

“You can have your camera on, or you can turn it off. You can listen in the background, or you can interact with us as much as you would like.”

Participants can log in for any or all sessions which run over two weeks starting June 9 and are scheduled at noon or in the evenings.

For privacy, they are not recorded and will not be available online later, but Holthouse expects to offer more such series in the future.

The schedule and session links are available at pinerest.org/conversations.
