The articles accuse Benson of exceeding her authority, failing to secure elections, and not being transparent

Republican Representative Jim DeSana accuses Benson of abusing her power, not securing elections, and avoiding transparency.

“People sent me here to uphold the law, to make good law, and to have fair elections. And I believe we’re not anywhere near that right now.”

But Democratic House Minority Leader Ranjeev Puri says it’s a waste of time since several audits have confirmed the results of each election run during Benson’s time in office.

“Why they are giving credence to an extremist platform questioning our election results. It’s beyond me.”

Republican House leadership says it plans to focus on different oversight efforts.
