An individual’s oral health can signal certain health conditions including endocarditis, cardiovascular disease, pneumonia, and pregnancy and birth complications

With today being “World Oral Health Day”, Cherry health is stressing the importance of oral hygiene and maintaining regular dental care with health care providers for overall better health.

In a new release, Cherry Health Chief Dental Officer Dr. Bryan Wazbinski says quote, “Having good dental hygiene at home – brushing well, flossing, and avoiding sugary foods – and regular dental checkups twice a year can help ward off those germs and also protect your overall health.” End quote.

Cherry Health says an individual’s oral health can signal certain health conditions, including endocarditis, cardiovascular disease, pneumonia, and pregnancy and birth complications. If not cared for, germs in your mouth could lead to infections, such as tooth decay and gum disease.

Cherry Health offers general and restorative dental care services for adults and children, at 11 locations in West Michigan, including in Grand Rapids ,Wyoming , Hastings and Greenville.
