The GRAM is offering a Discovery Day with special activities for guests to explore the storytelling elements inspired by current exhibitions.
One major focus for families is the newly redesigned Creative Learning Center, an active space for hands-on exploration where guests can channel creativity by constructing mini sculptures, curating their own tiny gallery exhibits, and explore art techniques in workshop sessions.
“And that's what we're interested in. It's not just the act of doing. It's the act of thinking. All of these have been intentionally designed for, you know. complex and interesting types of thinking.”
Museum Director and CEO Cindy Foley says activities include artmaking projects and gallery chats with docents.
“We have two different types of scavenger hunt. One that you can look for LEGO mini figs all around the building, but you can also do a scavenger hunt that’s more focused on looking for things within the artworks.”
Events run Saturday from 10am-3pm.
