Incumbent Democrat Carol Glanville held off Republican Challenger John Wetzel in 84th District race.

Democratic incumbent Phil Skaggs was the winner in Kent County’s 80th House district beating Republican challenger Bill Sage. Democrat Stephen Wooden defeated Jordan Youngquist in the 81st District. In the 82nd District, it was incumbent Democrat Kristian Grand soundly beating Republican Ryan Malinoski and in neighboring 83rd District, Republican Tommy Brann returned to politics only to lose to Democratic incumbent John Fitzgerald. Democratic incumbent Carol Glanville held off Republican Challenger John Wetzel. She tells WGVU she’s been able to roll back some taxes supporting seniors and the earned income tax credit for working families.

“Continuing to look for opportunities where we can lower costs for families, get some more money back in their pocket. Maybe in creative ways like we did with the free breakfast and lunch for students. All these things add up in little ways to support our families.”

As the chair of the Higher Education Committee, Glanville will continue promoting apprenticeship programs.
