In 2017 Ferrysburg adopted a two yard sign limit, councilman Jerry Sias says it wasn’t to suppress political speech.
“I don’t like multiple signs in yards i think it starts to look a little bit messy and sloppy.”

After brief discussion, City council passed member Jake Stearley’s proposal to pause enforcement of the two-yard sign limit
“Pausing the ordinance for now and then revisit it after the election.”
“We can have different positions politically, but these are special rights.”
