New polling from the Democracy Defense Project found a vast majority of voters would have confidence in election results if a dozen practices went into use

The Democracy Defense Project’s poll found close to 95 percent of respondents would trust election results if a dozen policies were put in place.

But each of those policies, like cleaning voter rolls, are already in use.

Michigan members of the project say that means voter confidence could be an issue of education.

Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum says she wants people with concerns to get involved.

“If you question, please, large jurisdictions are always looking for Republican precinct workers. So please contact your local city or township clerk. And it’s not a volunteer job, you actually do get paid, not well, but you do get paid.”

In the poll, Republicans raised more questions about election integrity than Democrats.
