“We’re here today celebrating the culmination of three plus years’ worth of work to ultimately bring Ada Hotel to the Ada community.”
Loren Crandell is CEO of Baton Collective, which helped make the Ada Hotel a reality, along with hotel owner Cheri DeVos and AHC Hospitality serving as management.
“Three to four years ago, the idea was created to ultimately have Ada Hotel be the final centerpiece of the new development down here in Ada, and we couldn’t be more excited.”
The public got its first look inside the boutique hotel, which sits directly across from the Thornapple River in downtown Ada.

The 37,000-square-foot hotel offers two restaurants, both of which are open to the general public: The Post Tavern, named after the original Ada Trading Post of the late 1800’s, and Rix, named after the founding father of Ada, Rix Robinson.

“You’ll experience a really cool indoor/outdoor feel to that restaurant and bar, and then just the property in general, the 36 hotel rooms as well as the beautifully appointed lobby and library, hand-selected furniture. Just super, super cozy. Makes you really feel like you’re at home.”
Management hopes the Ada Hotel will become the hospitality heart of that community.
