Surveys had shown a softening of support for President Biden among union members.
But the head of the Michigan AFL-CIO Ron Bieber says there’s no contest between what he calls former President Trump’s efforts to make it harder to join unions and the policies enacted under Biden...the first sitting president to walk a picket line.
Bieber said, “This has been the most pro-worker, pro-union administration in history and there’ll be no change moving forward. It will continue to be with Vice President Harris when she’s elected president.”
Not all Michigan unions are in lock-step yet.
The United Auto Workers has yet to endorse Harris though its leadership has blasted Trump for being to close to corporate interests.
