Michigan AG unveils Diocese of Gaylord sexual abuse report

The report details accusations involving both minors and adults—dating back to the 19-50s.

It’s the second in a planned series of reports into each of Catholic diocese in Michigan.

Attorney General Dana Nessel says she hopes the next one comes out within the next six months.

“We’re trying to be as expedient as possible but, again, we want to be accurate and we want to be thorough. And those are the most important things.”

No one mentioned in the Gaylord report is facing charges—due to factors like the statute of limitations or not having a victim willing to press charges.

The diocese says it’s taken several steps to prevent future abuse.
