$2.5 million capital investment supporting 25 new jobs.

Orka Automation is consolidating recently purchased West Michigan Gage and Component Engineering under one roof as a quality inspection solutions leader.

Orka is making a $2.5 million capital investment by purchasing the 24,000-square-foot building it currently leases in Wyoming and transforming it into a state-of-the-art facility with the capacity to meet its clients’ growing needs. That will include the construction of an additional 12,000 square feet.

Market demand expansion will require an investment in human resources with the creation of 25 new jobs.

Orka considered potential out-of-state locations. Nonprofit regional economic development corporation, The Right Place, assisted automation firm with its Wyoming expansion.

Jennifer Wangler is Vice President of Technology for The Right Place. She said, “Greater Grand Rapids is striving to become the Midwest’s leading tech economy. As we continue to grow this sector, Orka Automation’s decision to expand here reaffirms the region as a vital hub where tech companies can thrive.”

The City of Wyoming is approving a Tax Abatement in support of the development.
