The Musical Fountain Committee has approved 50 new songs for their 2024 season, but say they seek the public’s input for the fountain’s “choreography” of lights and dancing water. The committee is looking for volunteers to help with those efforts.
The 2024 season will feature the music of Motown, including performers such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and The Temptations.
The committee is seeking volunteers interested in learning the finer points of designing light and water movement through the Grand Haven Musical Fountain Facebook page.
2024 will also feature New Wave music from the 1980’s from bands such as The Cure and Depeche Mode.
The fountain celebrated its 60th anniversary last year and performs nightly shows from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with weekend shows in May and September, featuring multi-colored light and water shows set to a broad range of music and themes.
