The ethics probe follows MSU Trustee Brianna Scott’s allegations against Board Chair Rema Vassar. Scott accuses Vassar of over-stepping her authority… including when the university fired former football coach Mel Tucker over sexual harassment claims.
Whitmer says she’s concerned the Board is not cooperating with its Title Nine process.
“It’s alarming to me that any trustee would not fully comply with an investigation about a victim whose name was inappropriately and perhaps unlawfully leaked. And so I have a lot of questions.”
Vassar says MSU’s Board of Trustees has not yet decided if it will allow review of their cell phones… as it relates to the Title Nine Investigation. She denies any claims of misconduct.
