A shooting over the weekend in Grand Rapids left one woman dead and police looking for answers.
The fatal death took place in early Sunday morning in southwest Grand Rapids.
Authorities say, around 1:00 a.m., officers with the Grand Rapids Police Department were sent to the area of Freeman Avenue SW and Hall Street SW after receiving reports of a shooting.
First responders rushed the woman to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.
According to the GRPD she died shortly after arriving.
It’s unclear what led up to the shooting.
