Michigan connections highlighted in Trump, Giuliani indictments

AP

Former President Donald Trump is facing racketeering charges in Georgia for alleged attempts to overturn the 20-20 presidential election.

Indictment papers mention a lawsuit, phone calls, and meetings between Trump and then-Michigan legislative leadership as acts furthering the alleged conspiracy.

And then, there’s former Trump-lawyer Rudy Giuliani’s December 20-20 testimony before the state House Oversight Committee.

Georgia prosecutors allege Giuliani encouraged Michigan lawmakers to illegally refuse to certify President Joe Biden’s victory.

“It is your responsibility to do that. Not the governor, not the Secretary of State. You were given that authority by the founding fathers.”

Biden won Michigan by over 150-thousand votes—a fact Republican-led investigations and several dozen audits has confirmed.
