Grand Action 2.0 will host an open house June 12 for the planned riverfront amphitheater in downtown Grand Rapids.

Developers will give community members an update on the project.

The 85,000 square-foot riverfront amphitheater is estimated to cost $116 million and will hold 12,000 seats which includes fixed, covered, and lawn seats.

Developers recently changed the direction of the stage to face west toward the Grand River..

Grand Action 2.0 said they will update residents, and business and community leaders on the facility with a presentation on June 12 from Progressive AE, the architects working on the project.

The presentation will include information on the latest design and anticipated timeline. They’ll also share the outcomes of impact studies on sound, traffic, parking, and more during the event.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with architects and engineers about the project as well.

The open house begins at 6:00 p.m. on June 12 at the Van Andel Arena in Conference Rooms B-C, at 130 W. Fulton, Grand Rapids.
