GRPD investigating string of robberies in a matter of hours

Authorities searching for three suspects who broke into six separate businesses Thursday

The Grand Rapids Police Department says it is looking for three suspects involved in a string of burglaries that occurred within hours of each other.

According to police, a total of six burglaries all took place overnight Thursday morning.

Four of the businesses involved were gas/retail stations, one was a liquor store, and another was a marijuana dispensary.

According to police, the suspects used a large rock to break the front door or windows to several of the businesses, and stole e-cigarettes, vaping cartridges, and other tobacco products.

And in at least one burglary, money from a cash register was also taken.

Police say a stolen Toyota 4Runner was used in the burglaries.

Meanwhile, Businesses are encouraged to make sure the building is well lit in and around the building, install working alarm systems, use high-quality surveillance video, and apply security film to doors and windows.
