Hope Network

Bob  Von Kaenel tapped for job; replaces longtime President and CEO Phil Weaver.

Health Care and Life Services nonprofit, Hope Network, has announced it will have a new CEO moving forward.

In a prepared statement, officials announced Thursday it had appointed Bob Von Kaenel, to the role of President and CEO for his “strong record of accomplishment and his passion for Hope Network’s mission.”

The former president of Kentwood Office Furniture, Kaenel spent six years as a member of Hope Network’s board of trustees before taking on his new leadership position.

“Well, it is an amazing organization that really tries to help people overcome,” Kaenel said. “Transportation, to autism services, behavioral health, rehabilitation, low-income housing and work force development. I think that everywhere we see a need, and people are struggling, we try to help them become the best version of themselves.”

According to Hope Network, that equates to around 34,000 people each year that the non-profit helps in one area or another.

Kaenel replaces longtime CEO Phil Weaver, who stepped down after 16 years on the job.
