U.S. Senator Ted Cruz visited west Michigan’s 3rd Congressional district stumping on behalf of Republican candidate John Gibbs

“This nation is worth defending.”

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and his Truth and Courage PAC Take Back America Bus Tour rolled into Grand Rapids Wednesday evening making a stop at NOTO’s Old World Italian Dining. That’s where the Texas Republican rallied support for party candidate John Gibbs.

A banquet room at capacity with a few hundred Gibbs supporters cheered Cruz’s message.

Gibbs is running against Democrat Hillary Scholten in west Michigan’s 3rd U.S. House district.

“This race is a battleground race. It’s close.”

Senator Cruz explaining, he made the trip with confidence Gibbs can win.

“For the past two cycles, I’ve worked to look across the country and to try to identify the strongest conservative candidates who can run, have a real shot at winning, and who when they win, will be leaders.”

Cruz says voters should consider that and economic conditions. In particular, their pocketbooks, when they head to the polls on Tuesday.
