A shooting over the weekend near Grand Valley State University left one person in the hospital.
Authorities say, the victim is not a student, and no suspects have been arrested so far...
According to a press release from the school,
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office and GVSU police responded to an off campus shooting shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday at The Alpine Student Living, a privately owned apartment complex near the Allendale campus…
As police arrived, authorities say, multiple people and vehicles fled the area.
Detectives later determined that the victim had been taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s office said they believe there is no further threat to the public. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office at (800) 249-0911.
