Cherry Health is offering a drive-thru flu vaccine clinic

Cherry Health is offering flu shots to the public. It’s a drive-through vaccine clinic

With flu season almost upon us, Cherry Health is hosting a drive-through flu vaccine clinic.

It will be held Saturday, October first from 11 am until 2pm at its Heart of the City Health Center in downtown Grand Rapids on Cherry Street.

A news release says the clinic is in partnership with Alana’s Foundation, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Michigan Community VNA.

The flu vaccine clinic is open to the public and Cherry Health patients. Pre-registration is requested to ensure an adequate vaccine supply. It’s first come-first served. And walk ins are welcome. Face masks are required for those getting the vaccine.

Cherry Health Interim CMO Dr. Jenny Bush says, “With flu season upon us, getting a flu shot is the best course of action to protect yourself and your loved ones from this contagious virus,” she adds, “We encourage everyone who can to get their flu shots as early as possible. Our drive-through flu vaccine clinic at Heart of the City Health Center is a quick and easy way to prepare for this season’s flu strain.”
