The third-annual Black-Owned Business Showcase will run from 10am - 7pm on August 13 at the Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids.

Saturday, August 13th marks the third-annual Black-Owned Business Showcase at Woodland Mall. The event, which runs 10am - 7pm, will feature more than 25 vendors, offering products surrounding health and wellness, apparel and more.

“I would just hope the community would come out and support and see what these businesses have to offer," organizer, Britney Sylvester with Uniquely Made Kreations, said.

This is Sylvester's first year heading up the festivities. The past two years she was a vendor and told WGVU the showcase is a great way for businesses to network with both customers and other Black business owners, especially for those who are just starting out.

“Bringing this showcase to the Woodland Mall gives these businesses opportunities to show what they sell or what they do, because some of them are product based, some of them are service based," she said. "A lot of these businesses don’t have brick and mortar or storefronts, so it’s a great opportunity for them to get their businesses out there to the community.”
