A Michigan G-O-P gubernatorial candidate received a major endorsement today.
In a radio appearance on Detroit station WJR businessman Dick DeVos said he and his politically powerful family are supporting candidate Tudor Dixon.
DeVos said his family appreciates Dixon’s willingness to, in his words, "step out and lead.”
He referred to her role as a businesswoman and mother of four.
The DeVos endorsement could be major for Dixon’s campaign fundraising efforts as the family ranks among the top political donors in the state.
Dixon says she’s quote, “honored to have the DeVos family’s support.”
Dixon is also among a trio of gubernatorial candidates facing challenges to signatures in their filing paperwork.
