Prior to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address Tuesday evening, Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss delivered her annual State of the City address as well.
Calling it a “very exciting time” for Grand Rapids as the population continues to grow, Bliss said there are five key areas that officials must continue to work on however, to ensure equitable opportunities and outcomes for all city residents.
“Public Safety. Housing. Economic Opportunity. Sustainability and Climate. And investing in place," Bliss said. "We are fully engaged in the meaningful work of building a place where people want to live.”
