State Representative Luke Meerman has thrown his support behind the truck drivers blockading the U.S.-Canada crossing at the Ambassador Bridge.

Friday marked Day 15 of the Canadian truck driver’s “Freedom Convoy.” Pledging his support, Michigan State Rep. Luke Meerman.

The Coopersville Republican encouraging Governor Gretchen get involved. In particular, working with U.S. and Canadian leadership advocating for the end of vaccine mandates. It’s those policies that have led to the protests blocking crucial U.S.-Canadian crossings halting citizens and commercial traffic.

In a statement, Meerman said, “Truckers are choosing to exercise their freedom – specifically the freedom to choose what is best for them, and what they put into their bodies. We the People must stand by them as their freedoms are under attack by those who wish to have autocratic, authoritarian control over all people.”

Adding Governor Whitmer should protect personal freedoms and in so doing, maximize the economy’s potential.
