Redistricting Commission adopts final state Senate, Congressional maps
Michigan’s redistricting commission has chosen the new state Senate map for the next decade.
The map gives Democrats a projected 20-to-18 seat advantage in the state Senate. Republicans currently hold the majority in the chamber.
The map Ann Arbor into north and south districts that roughly snake along I-94.
The map also loops the northern Ann Arbor district in with Jackson and Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey’s Clarklake.
