The Kent County Health Department is developing a three-year strategic plan. It’s asking for community input.

Improving community health takes planning and input from agencies partnering with the Kent County Health Department along with organizations and residents. The 2021-2024 Community Health Improvement Planning process is underway and the health department is asking for resident’s suggestions.

Last year, the 2020 Community Needs Assessment revealed four health issues with the greatest impact on the community – access to health care, discrimination and racial inequality, economic security and mental health.

As a part of the Kent County Health Department developing and implementing a strategic plan addressing these priorities, it’s reaching out to individuals to serving on one of four Community Health Improvement Planning subcommittees. It’s a one-year commitment involving monthly meetings. Interested Kent County residents are asked to complete a survey by Monday, July 26th. Log on to www.accesskent.com/health/CHNA
