The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating a Wednesday morning overdose death involving multiple victims.

A 911 call was received about 5:30am Wednesday morning alerting Grand Rapids Police and Fire Departments that two people were unresponsive inside a parked car near Eastern Avenue SE and Franklin Street SE.

First responders revived them and a third person, also unresponsive, located nearby in the 800 block of Geneva Avenue SE. All three are described as adult drug overdose victims transported to an area hospital.

At 6am, on-scene personnel were informed of a fourth unresponsive adult victim nearby. Officers responded attempting life-saving measures. The fourth victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
