Amway, Inforum, Meijer and Spectrum Health are combining resources for their 9th annual International Women’s Day event. The virtual conference will run from 8:30 am to 12:30pm on Monday, March 8 and will feature conversations around activism allyship and advocacy.

Inforum's CEO, Terry Barclay said these are even more significant after the past year.

“The impact of the pandemic has disproportionately hit women. Expert researchers at McKinsey and other places are saying that four out of 10 women are thinking about or have dialed back their careers, just because of the real challenges of balancing work and home," Barclay said, "...That’s what this day is about, providing a wonderful energizing, safe, highly connective place where people can come together to recharge their batteries and focus on the work that we still have to do. That certainly involves making sure that there is a space at the table for everyone."

The event will feature keynote speakers like Dr. Shirley Davis, President and CEO of SDS Enterprises, and will have a series of break out sessions for attendees can choose from:

  • The World is Changing. Correction. The World has Changed!
  • Is That Lining Really Silver? It looks Gray to Me
  • Shell-Shocked: Managing Stress in Times of Racial Unrest
  • ?Together Toward Tomorrow: A Panel Discussion on Allyship

Tickets can be purchased for $50 at www.IWDGrandRapids.com.
