Kent County Michigan House of Representative district races

WGVU is keeping an eye on seven Michigan House of Representative races in Kent County.

In the 72nd District Grand Rapids Democrat Lily Cheng-Schulting holds a slight edge over Republican Steven Johnson of Wayland.

In the 73rd District, Greenville Republican Bryan Posthumus is leading Democrat Bill Saxton and U.S. Taxpayer party candidate Ted Gerrard.

Moving to the 74th House District, Mark Huizenga is ahead of Democrat Megan Hintz.

In Grand Rapids 75th District race featuring four candidates, incumbent Democrat David LaGrand maintains an advantage over Republican James McKeiver, Green Party candidate Marco Bulnes and the Working Class party’s Louis Palus.

Democratic incumbent Rachel Hood is trailing Republican Doug Zandstra in Grand Rapids 76th District.

In the 77th, its Republican incumbent Tommy Brann’s race to lose against Democratic challenger Bob Smith.

Finally, in the 86th House District, Lowell Republican Thomas Albert is outpacing Democrat Sue Hayes.
