Meijer runaway choice in Michigan's 3rd Congressional District Republican Primary

Pete Meijer campaign

In what many considered the most anticipated West Michigan primary race, Republican Peter Meijer ran away with the victory in the five-candidate field for U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan’s 3rd Congressional District. An Iraq War veteran, Meijer says he’ll support the military and veterans while concentrating on a strategic foreign policy. The West Michigan native is focused on creating a strong business environment. He’s pro-life, supports the Second Amendment, religious freedom and the Constitution.

He’ll face off with Democratic challenger Hillary Scholten in the November General Election.
