A return to 'normalacy' as Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park opens doors

Wikipedia

Three months after shutting its doors to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic, Frederik Meijer Gardens's and Sculpture Park has re-opened its doors, after what park officials call an extremely long and painful 3 months.

Park officials say the loss it has taken during the stay-at-home order will take years to recuperate, but the organization is aware that many have had it much worse, noting in a press release that “Some people have lost everything to COVID-19. Businesses are permanently closed due to the pandemic and violence. “

John Vanderhaagen is the communications director for Fredierik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. He says, staff are extremely excited to provide some sense of normalcy for West Michigan residents.

Vanderhaagen adds that a vaccine for COVID-19 is not here yet, so the park is asking guests to wear masks while indoors, and practice social distancing when at the park.
