Grand Rapids Marywood Health Center is a 49-bed skilled nursing facility owned and operated by the Dominican Sisters with clinical care focusing on rehabilitation from illness, surgery and stroke. Its administrator is Trinity Senior Services Management.

COVID-19 and the spread of coronavirus has reduced hospital referrals and lowered reimbursement rates. A small facility designed for fewer than 50 residents, a decline in residents has created an unsustainable business model.

In a news release, Marywood Health Center says it will “ensure an orderly, safe discharge of all remaining residents to their homes or, if needed, to another health care facility.”

Trinity is providing existing job opportunities to employees at its other facilities along with outplacement services and unemployment benefits.
