The Kent County Health Department and technology developer OST have created a statewide web survey called Keepmihealthy.org. This is where residents can track their symptoms on a daily basis. It’s a simple process allowing health officials to assess potential COVID-19 hotspots in real-time by tracking its geographic activity. The survey takes about two minutes asking for your date of birth, gender, zip code and county.

“From there, there will be a list of potential symptoms you may be experiencing. Go ahead and click any of those symptoms if you’ve felt them that day. If you haven’t felt any of those symptoms you can go ahead and skip that part and just submit the survey.”

Sanda Vazgec is Kent County Communication Specialist.

“So, you’re probably wondering what’s the point of filling out a survey of how I’m feeling every single day, right? Basically, what healthcare officials can do is see if there’s an influx in these symptoms at a certain zip code, they can better respond to that area and make sure that the people there are getting the information and the care that they need before those symptoms spread to surrounding areas. This can help us combat the spread of COVID-19 very early on.”

Information is anonymous and confidential. The survey, Keepmihealthy.org
