Possible Bay Mills Coronavirus exposure


A northern Michigan tribe is suspending Boys and Girls club events as tribal employees may have been exposed to coronavirus.

Bay Mills Indian Community… in Chippewa County... says two of its employees may have come across the virus in Washington D.C.

The employees are distancing themselves from others until they can be tested.The Boys & Girls Club will be closed for the week until test results are back.

The tribe has also suspended all official out-of-state travel and is encouraging at-risk employees to work from home.

Health officials say people with symptoms... or were maybe exposed to coronavirus... contact a health care provider.

They say people should wash their hands frequently... cover their mouth when coughing... and avoid close contact with others, who may be sick.
