Interview: Ben Wilke, co-owner and founder of The Comedy Project
After years in the making, a new improv comedy club is set to make its official opening this weekend on Grand Rapids booming west side. The result of a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $30,000 through small donations from friends, family and fellow comedians, 'The Comedy Project’ also comes with a full training center, where anyone can learn how to be a sketch or improv comedian, and possibly even perform on stage.
Ben Wilke is the co-owner and founder of The Comedy Project. In this conversation with WGVU’s Daniel Boothe, Wilke discusses the long road to get to this point, and what people can expect this weekend as the club officially opens its doors.
