Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:00 PM on WGVU Public Television, PBS FRONTLINE premiers, The Pension Gamble. It’s an investigation into how state governments have mismanaged public pensions creating a $4-trillion hole.

“Something like half the states are underfunded fairly seriously.”

In FRONTLINE’s The Pension Gamble, correspondent Martin Smith investigates Kentucky’s fight between lawmakers and public employees.

“Governments didn’t pay the money that they needed to pay into the pension fund while workers were always paying in because they had mandatory deductions. The government betrayed them and so they created this big hole. The bill is going to come due.”

FRONTLINE’s The Pension Gamble airs Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:00 PM on WGVU Public Television.
