Early numbers show a more than 60-million dollar governor’s race

Michigan’s governor’s race this year will come with at least a 60 million dollar price tag.

That number will continue to grow as more data rolls in.

The Michigan Campaign Finance Network is a watchdog groups that tracks money in politics. They’ve found that Michigan is on pace to have one of its most expensive governor’s races in state history.

Craig Mauger is with the network. He says that 60 million dollar number is only going to go up.

“Who knows where we’re going to end up. I mean who knows what’s going to happen over the, basically the two weeks that are remaining.”

Mauger says this report lays the groundwork for when new disclosures come out later this week.
