Grand Rapids’ Van Andel Arena and DeVos Performance Hall are receiving high marks from notable national publication mid-year charts.

If you’ve been to a show at DeVos Performance Hall, or a concert or sporting event at Van Andel Arena, you may have noticed tickets are scarce. From the perspective of Pollstar, VenuesNow and Billboard Magazines, that means ticket sales are solid. For venues of their size, that puts them near the top of ticket sales in North America and the world.

Van Andel Arena appears as the #2 venue in North America with a capacity between 10,000 and 15,000 seats on both VenuesNow’s Mid-Year Top Stops list and Billboard’s Mid-Year charts. It checks in at #13 and #9 respectively worldwide.

Billboard ranks DeVos Performance Hall 12th in the United States and #14 worldwide for venues with a capacity of 5,000 or less. Pollstar’s mid-year list ranks DeVos 36th in the U.S. and 43rd worldwide.

SMG Venues operates both locations. Its Regional General Manager Richard MacKeigan says, “These rankings are an excellent reflection of the support we have from everyone who walks through the doors of the venues.”
