A Newaygo County feed mill manufacturer and distributor is making a multi-million dollar expansion investment.

North Central Co-op has been manufacturing and distributing feed mill products for over a century in Fremont. With opportunities for expansion it was considering a move outside Newaygo County. After looking at other sites, NCC will stay in the county selecting the City of White Cloud Industrial Park. This is where it will make a $10 million investment supporting a forecast for future demand. In a news release, the new mill will also support improved quality control and biosecurity.

The White Cloud location also provides necessary road and rail access along with greater utility services.

Non-profit economic development organization The Right Place and Newaygo County Economic Development Office helped with the site location and investment.

The City of White Cloud has a approved a tax abatement for NCC. It says it will retain 12 jobs in the region and will create three new positions.
