An Albion man convicted in June on seven counts of child sexual exploitation and two counts of child pornography possession has been sentenced to 240 years in prison.

The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports U.S. District Judge Robert Jonker on Friday gave Jeffrey Duane Cox the maximum sentence and ordered him to pay $10,000 in fines and restitution.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said Cox exploited seven children from 2012-14 by luring them into his home, convincing them to trust him, and then sexually abusing and exploiting them.

A co-defendant, Brandon Alexander Russell, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on one count of sexual exploitation of a child after taking a plea agreement October 2015.
