ArtPrize Eight is officially underway.
More than 1,400 ArtPrize entries are now open for viewing and voting this year at 170 venues across Grand Rapids.
The eighth-annual multi-week festival kicks off Wednesday following multiple preview events.
It runs until October 9.
ArtPrize organizers say this year’s entries hail from 44 countries and 40 U.S. states.
A total of $500,000 is up for grabs.
Round 1 public voting ends on Saturday, October 1, with the top 20 pieces announced the next day.
